So, what do we do now?

This Sunday, October 12th, will be the last segment of "Understanding the Will of God". There is still so much to be said, and perhaps we can revisit the topic again another time. But for now, the sermon title for part 4 - "So, what do we do now?" will take us to Matthew 25:14-30 where Jesus likens the Kingdom of Heaven to, among many things, a man who called his servants to himself and entrusted each of them varying amounts us of money. If you you know the story well - then you know the outcome as well.

Whereas we could go down several paths on this text - the one I intend to have us consider is the one of "risk-taking". As we attempt to understand God's design and will for our lives - I think we should consider that there are times in our lives that taking a risk is as/more important than holding things so tightly and "close to the vest" that we dare not make a move. God is not asking you to take foolish risks, nor risks that have not been well-prayed over.
But sometimes we must leave the apparent safety of certain "nests" to discover great and potentially rewarding other "fields of dreams". Anyway - that's where we'll be going Sunday.

Linda Ferrie will be offering a lesson for Cable Hollow's kids during the Children's Moments.
Mary Ford offers her Gift of Music right before the sermon lesson.

And for those who have been here the past 3 weeks - you never know what's coming up on the screen next!

Enjoy this beautiful weekend of fall colors.
I look forward to our time together on Sunday.

With great heart,
Pastor Jon
